The product was developed in collaboration with the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, Russia (www.aari.ru)

The Solar Terminator is a moving border line that divides the atmosphere into day (illuminated by Sun) and night (not illuminated) areas. Daytime and nighttime ionosphere are characterized by different values of electron density, temperature, etc. Therefore, for the ionospheric and radio propagation tasks it is important to know the terminator position in the particular point of observation at the particular time moment.

Please note that free online access to download the software is available only for educational, academic and non-commercial research purposes. Acknowledgement is obligatory. Please see the TERMS OF USE (in English).

Please read sections “About” and “Help”. The description of the program is available in Russian, English, Spanish and French.
